O: Yes. That is where "Gimlet" came from. How to go about this, it'd be way too complicated if I tried to explain it all. Basically, it was just a play on words for my amusement using this proverb, and I'm sure people who understand what I'm talking about will get this, but there's this famous line from the novel The Long Goodbye that goes "I suppose it's a bit too early for a Gimlet". Uhh, in other words, I gave him that name because I felt like I couldn't not reference the word when it came to drawing about hardboiledness. If it interests you, please go look it up. Russian is also the name of an alcoholic drink. Additionally, though I'm a Kyushu lad who draws pirates for a living and loves the concept of hardboiledness, I'm still no good at handling drinks.

O: Let's see. As for me, I usually go out wearing a frilly, floral print one piece. Then I always realize that I've somehow ended up in a police station, and the policeman is always asking me all kinds of these strange questions, but nevertheless- I'm still doing great! Gotta love one pieces!

O: Yes. I'm quite impressed you found this one~. As you've pointed out, if you look really closely, you can find Crocodile there.

This was from the time when Law was 10 and Doflamingo was 25; 16 years ago from now. Crocodile was 30 at the time.

Similar to Luffy, back when he was young, Crocodile's name spread across the seas with incredible momentum, but soon after he was admitted into the Shichibukai in his mid-20's, he tried to fight Whitebeard and was completely and utterly crushed by him.

Though he seemingly calmed down at this point, his eyes became set on the kingdom of Alabasta, and it happened to be precisely during this time period that he was being featured in the papers as a hero who hunted down pirates. In other words, that was an article reporting the acts of heroism by Crocodile at the time!

His father, Barrels, used to be a Marine Officer and Drake admired this, dreaming of becoming a great Marine just like him one day. However; who knows what happened, but his father suddenly turned into a pirate and became a terrible man who would physically abuse even his own son. Drake, who still believed in his past father and followed him around was aged 19 at this time (13 and a half years ago). I'd love to see this person get one of his works serialized and for him to make a name for himself in the great sea that is the Manga World! You've got this!! (^ ^)

By the way, one of his works is featured yet again in the UG Pirates segment of this volume.

From I hear, the marines keep a balanced nutrition in mind and have delicious seafood curry once a week.

I. Słomki, a gotowanie

Danie, które każdemu z nich wychodzi najlepiej/najbardziej lubi je przygotowywać:
1. Luffy - surowy kawałek mięsa na talerzu
2. Zoro - sashimi
3. Nami - pieczona kaczka w sosie pomarańczowym
4. Usopp - ryba z frytkami
5. Chopper - shake owocowy
6. Robin - paella (+ wszystko co gotowane w wodzie)
7. Franky - jedzenie z grilla (barbecue - bardziej po amerykańsku)
8. Brook - jedzenie z grilla (churrasco - bardziej po europejsku/latynosku)
9. Sanji - najlepiej wychodzą mu potrawy na bazie owoców morza, ale zasadniczo jest tak dobrym kucharzem, że i tak jest świetny we wszystkim.

Poza Sanjim, całkiem dobrze gotują też Nami, Usopp i Robin.

II. Sanji vs elita Familii

Tak wyglądaliby Trebol, Diamante i Pica po upiększającym kopniaku od Sanjiego (to co zrobił z Wanzem i Duvalem):

III. Zależności między owocami

Oda potwierdził, że niektóre owoce są po prostu lepsze (wyższe rangą) od tych podobnych jednocześnie zaznaczając, że sam fakt posiadania słabszego owocu nie oznacza, że taka osoba jest słabsza. Chodzi tu raczej tylko o przewagę w walkach na wyrównanym poziomie:

Magu Magu no Mi (Akainu) > Mera Mera no Mi (Ace/Sabo)
Ton Ton no Mi (Machvise) > Kilo Kilo no Mi (Miss Valentine)
Hie Hie no Mi (Kuzan) > Yuki Yuki no Mi (Monet)
Buki Buki no Mi (Baby 5) > Supa Supa no Mi (Daz Bones - Mr 1)

IV. Urodziny niektórych postaci

Niekiedy ktoś w SBS pyta, czy można ustalić urodziny jakiejś postaci na dany dzień, ponieważ jakoś mu się z nią kojarzy. Oda zazwyczaj się na to zgadza, ale tu stwierdził, że tak naprawdę gówienko go obchodzi, kiedy kto ma urodziny.

Tak, czy siak takich postaci jest sporo. Tutaj macie kalendarz z każdą postacią, która oficjalnie ma urodziny (te najciekawsze danego miesiąca w rogu, ażeby długo nie szukać):

Wygląd Luffiego w tej formie był inspirowany rzeźbami Nio (wg Wikipedii to dwóch gniewnych strażników Buddy - zazwyczaj takie pomniki są stawiane przed buddyjskimi świątyniami). Coś takiego:

Z resztą się nawet zgadzam, ale to mi jakoś nie pasuje. Niby owoc mr1 pozwala mu się zmieniać w ostrza, a Baby5 w dowolną broń, ale Supa Supa daje gratis stalowe ciało.
